Vodafone Germany now offers help for allergy sufferers - up-to-date pollen alert forecasts to enable users to avoid high-risk areas or take the appropriate medication. Vodafone’s “Lorano Polleninfo” service, which is available on the Vodafone live! website or by SMS text message, provides individualised pollen alerts. (5/2/2005) The service takes into consideration the user’s personal allergy profile and current location in the German Vodafone network. The relevant pollen forecasts, in accordance with the personal profiles provided by the service users, are sent to their mobile phones. For a monthly fee of €4.99, subscribers to the “Lorano Polleninfo” service automatically receive a daily text message if there is an acute pollen risk in their locality. Up-to-date pollen alert forecasts can also be requested at €0.49 per SMS text message and €0.39 per Vodafone live! query.
